1. Services
Parlock Property Services provides professional tree care and property maintenance services including but not limited to tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding, emergency storm response, and related services in the Huntington, WV tri-state area.
2. Estimates and Pricing
- All estimates are provided free of charge with no obligation.
- Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.
- Final pricing may vary if site conditions differ from the original assessment.
- Additional work beyond the original scope will be quoted separately.
- We reserve the right to adjust pricing for jobs requiring specialized equipment or techniques not apparent during initial assessment.
3. Scheduling and Cancellation
- Scheduled services may be postponed due to inclement weather or unsafe conditions at our discretion.
- We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule postponed work promptly.
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in a cancellation fee.
4. Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise arranged.
- We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.
- Large projects may require a deposit before work begins.
- Outstanding balances beyond 30 days may be subject to late fees.
5. Property Access and Preparation
By engaging our services, you agree to:
- Provide safe and clear access to the work area
- Inform us of any underground utilities, irrigation systems, or obstacles
- Remove vehicles and personal property from the work zone
- Secure pets during service
- Ensure we have authorization to perform work on the property
6. Liability and Insurance
Parlock Property Services maintains comprehensive liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. However:
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to property
- We are not liable for damage to unmarked underground utilities
- Natural settling or changes in landscaping after tree removal are normal and not covered
- We are not responsible for the health or survival of trees we did not plant
7. Permits and Regulations
Customers are responsible for obtaining any required permits for tree work on their property. We can assist in identifying permit requirements upon request. Work in protected areas or involving protected species may require additional approvals.
8. Cleanup and Debris
- Standard cleanup is included with all services
- We will remove all debris generated by our work
- Firewood and wood chips can be left on-site upon request
- Stumps are cut to grade level unless stump grinding is purchased
9. Warranty
We stand behind our work:
- Tree planting includes a 90-day establishment warranty with proper care
- All work is performed to ANSI A300 standards
- If you're not satisfied, contact us within 7 days to discuss resolution
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parlock Property Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to mediation in Cabell County, West Virginia. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
